Dension FOA1TY1 Porsche Yazaki Converter Kit

The FOA1TY1 Yazaki Fiber Optic Converter Kit is designed for Porsche vehicles with Yazaki type connectors.

Please note that about 10% of the Porsche vehicles have YAZAKI plugs. As for now, there is no easy way to identify which vehicle is equipped with the YAZAKI or TYCO Optical system. The only way to identify which optical system the vehicle is equipped with is to perform a visual inspection. The YAZAKI Optical system has generally been seen on 2003 vehicles, production quarters 1 and 2. (i.e.: February 2003 production code normally located in the driver door edge). Porsche vehicle equipped with the YAZAKI Optical system MUST use Dension Converter cable FOA1TY1 to integrate the interface into the optical MOST citcuit of the vehicle.

• Please verify the connectors in your vehicle prior to purchasing this part.
• A male YAZAKI connector will connect in a female TYCO connector. A male TYCO connector does NOT connect in a female YAZAKI connector.
